Albyco Ultra 100 Pro UV-coater

Processing 13” paper widths up to 44 feet per minute, the Albyco Ultra 100 PRO provides a high-featured UV coating solution for short volume demands.

Compact, economical and easy to operate, the Albyco Ultra 100 PRO applies a glossy or satin finish to a wide range of offset and digitally-printed applications, enhancing the richness of its colors while protecting them from scratches and scuffing.

Configured with the high capacity SF-200 Air Suction Feeder, the Ultra 100 PRO is similar to the Ultra 200A model and features innovative technology for coating both sides of the sheet with a smear-freefinish. Print providers can offer double the value by coating both sides of direct mailers, brochures, business cards, book covers, and much more!

Productive and Simple

Setting up jobs on the Ultra 100 PRO is quick and easy. Coating speed, pump speeds, cleaning and IR functions are all set from the key pad. The coating volume and roller gap can be adjusted in 0.1 mm increments using the two calibration dials. Additional features include:

• Auto gap prevents excess coating from smearing to the backside of the print • Automated operation • Complete activation at the touch of a button • Intelligent Control System for automatic programming and adjustments • Self-diagnostic tool helps operators troubleshoot the machine on their own • Power save mode helps reduce its energy consumption when not in use, resuming operation in as quickly as 90 seconds • Auto purge removes coating from the hoses thus minimizing cleaning solution consumption and coating contamination

The Albyco Ultra 100 PRO comes configured with the SF-200 Air Suction Feeder. The SF-200 provides minimal reloading and increased productivity. With a 7.5” stack capacity, the SF-200 utilizes an air suction feeding system that feeds from the top of the stack to reduce marking on the sheets.

The feeder automatically sets the gap between each sheet to ensure no sheets overlap while the double feed detection ensures the coating process stops when two or more sheets have been fed.

Superior Finish On Both Sides!

The Ultra 100 PRO delivers vibrant, UV coated applications in an instant. Coating is evenly distributed before pas-sing under the UV lamp – providing a superior glossy finish. The self-centered and self-tensioning conveyor ensures all sheets are delivered consistently flat and straight throughout the process. Other features include:

• Infrared heating system helps cure difficult stock with a glossy and smooth finish and delivers a consistent above 90 gloss meter reading (based upon certain laboratory conditions)

• Optional priming solution for improved ink transfer on preprinted substrates, making the printed sheet more resistant to rubbing and effectively sealing the ink on the paper.

The Ultra 100 PRO offers unique capabilities for coating both sides of the document without any additional adjustments required. The applicator and impression rollers engage only at the start and end of the sheet, ensuring a smear-free and clean finish on both sides. The rollers automatically disengage when there is no sheet or when not in use, preventing any indentations or flat spots on the roller or the print.

The Albyco Ultra 100 PRO provides the utmost safety throughout the entire process with detection sensors in place for paper jams, overheating, open safety cover, and low coating.

As the sheets are cured by the UV lamp and delivered into the exit tray, the UV lamp’s ventilation draws out heat from the main chamber providing safe operating temperatures at all times.
