Adding to the growing line of Ultra UV Coaters, the Ultra\u00a0<\/b><\/b>300Ai provides a solution that enhances the value and\u00a0<\/b><\/b>vibrancy of printed pieces at higher speeds and also offers in-line capabilities \u2013 enabling it to receive output directly from a digital press!<\/b><\/b><\/p>\r\n

Heavy duty yet simple to use, the Ultra 300Ai applies a high\u00a0quality gloss or satin finish to a wide range of offset and\r\ndigitally-printed applications, adding richness to its colors\u00a0while protecting them from scratches and scuffing. Similar\r\nto other Ultra models, the Ultra 300Ai features innovative technology for coating both sides of the sheet with a smearfree finish. Print providers can offer double the value by coating both sides of applications, such as direct mailers,\u00a0brochures, business cards, book covers, and more.\u00a0The Ultra 300Ai comes with a bridge unit that can be\u00a0rolled into the output area of the press with ease to deliver\u00a0documents directly into the UV coater as they are printed,\u00a0increasing productivity and reducing downtime. The height\u00a0of the bridge unit is easily adjustable to accommodate\u00a0the heights of most presses. With a coating speed of up\u00a0to 148 feet (45 meters) per minute, the Ultra 300Ai can\u00a0accommodate the output speed from most digital presses\u00a0and process a variety of paper sizes, from 8.5\u201d x 11\u201d to 20\u201d x\u00a028\u201d, up to 350 gsm.<\/p>\r\n

The Ultra 300A model is also available, which comes\u00a0included with a high-capacity, air suction feeder instead\u00a0of the bridge unit. Full In-Line Integration with the HP Indigo 7000 Series<\/b><\/b><\/p>\r\n

The Ultra 300Ai is fully compatible and connectable in-line\u00a0with the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press series, providing\u00a0a seamless and automated printing and UV coating\u00a0solution. The electronic interface provides bi-directional communication that alerts both the press and the UV coater\u00a0to stop in the event there is a paper jam on either end.<\/p>\r\n

Intelligent Control System<\/b><\/b><\/p>\r\n

With its state-of-the-art intelligent control system, minimal\u00a0operator experience is required as the Ultra 300Ai can be\u00a0programmed quickly and easily. With the touch of a button, the entire machine is turned on in a programmed sequence.\u00a0Coating speed, pump speed, cleaning and IR functions\u00a0are all set from the intelligent control panel. If needed,<\/p>\r\n

the coating volume and roller gap can be adjusted in 0.1\u00a0mm increments using the two calibration dials. Additional\r\nfeatures include:<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Auto Gap <\/b>prevents excess coating from smearing to the\u00a0backside of the print. The applicator and impression\u00a0rollers engage only at the start and end of the sheet,\u00a0ensuring a smear-free and clean finish on both sides.<\/p>\r\n

The rollers automatically disengage when there is no sheet\u00a0or when not in use, preventing indentations or flat\r\nspots on the roller or print.<\/p>\r\n
